Title: Crunchy Onion Rings

4 Onions
  Milk or buttermilk
2cCornmeal
1tsSalt
1dsBlack pepper
  Oil for deep frying

Slice onions 1/4-inch thick. Separate into rings. Soak in milk 30 minutes. Drain. Mix cornmeal, salt and pepper. Coat onion rings in cornmeal mixture and drop into deep oil heated to 375F. Fry until golden, then drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
